Weight loss is more than a physical challenge its a mental challenge.

New Delhi, 6th February 2016: People often confuse bariatric surgery with liposuction and when they hear that diet will be less, they think that dieting alone will work but bariatric surgery offers you fast and more sustained Weight loss due to hormonal changes associated with it. Not only after bariatric surgery people who are binge eaters, stop eating excess food but due to hormonal changes, the diseases associated with obesity like Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Obstructive sleep apnea, PCOD (infertility), and others show marked improvement, that some of the patients may not need even medicines for their diseases, so bariatric surgery adds healthy years to your life.

We have organized this support group meeting so as the people could come & share their journey of being "Fat to Fit". This is an initiative taken by the team & the Hospital so as to create the awareness among the people about how obesity has become a curse in the society. According to Dr.Rajat Goel, H.O.D, Bariatric Surgery, Primus Super Speciality Hospital “Diabesity (diabetes and obesity), is the latest pandemic in the world and bariatric surgery which causes, forced healthy lifestyle has proven to be effective tool to deal with this pandemic.”
Today this camp has witnessed 15 rare of the rarest Cases who have chosen Bariatric surgery for them to live there life in a better way.

There was a breaking point come when I couldn’t sleep even for an hour said a patient who was present there at the camp. “Bad eating habits, lack of exercise weight gain after child birth made my life very uncomfortable”. Ignorance is now no longer an excuse to stay overweight and unhealthy. We owe it to ourselves and our children to stay fit and healthy” she said.
