Here is what some popular experts have to say about oral healthcare in India:

Ajay Kakar MDS, Mumbai

“Increasingly Indians are becoming aware of their personal wellbeing and oral care is becoming an important agenda in their life as they feel having good oral health boosts their confidence in society. More people want to enjoy life without being held up with oral care problems”

Smriti Nair MDS , Mumbai

“Young people often come to me and say they want a white shining teeth. But our lifestyle these days tend to take away the shine of the teeth. High consumption of wine, aerated drinks and citrus foods remove the enamel leading to loss of the natural whiteness. The loss of enamel also leads other oral care problems like sensitivity.”

Mona Kakar MDS, Mumbai

“People often tend to ignore what stress can do to our oral health. It affects oral health as much as it affects our body. People under stress tend to make lifestyle changes like smoking, consuming too much alchohol, binging on sugary foods or even grind their teeth unknowingly, which can lead to serious oral health problems.”
